ART + MATH:

Seeing Mathematics in the Museum

August 20, 2019 - April 5, 2020

Art + Math examines select works from the Harn's collection through the lens of mathematics. The works on view here exemplify or embody specific mathematical theorems, principals and challenges, elucidated with interpretive texts inviting visitors to view art through math and math through art.

Curated by Kevin Knudson, Professor and Chair in the Department of Mathematics, in partnership with Dulce Román, Chief Curator and Curator of Modern Art, and Eric Segal, Director of Education and Curator of Academic Programs.
